Friends, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special person. I apologize for posting the news this way, but I wanted to make sure everyone hears before the funeral.
Mr. Pyle was a founding member of KAPS, and we offer our deepest condolences to his family.
William E. “Billy” Pyle, 80, of Lexington and husband of Cassie Farley Pyle passed away March 16, 2019. He was born on November 19, 1938 in Hopkinsville, KY. He was a member of Southland Christian Church.
Billy’s main loves were the Lord and his family. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid UK Sports fan. He retired after a forty-five-year career in civil engineering. He will be dearly missed by his family, many friends, and colleagues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the wife of his children Charlotte Pyle; son John Edward Pyle; and brother Tommy Pyle.
In addition to his loving wife, Billy is survived by his children, Angela Pyle (Gary) Pritchett and Stephen A. (Emily) Pyle; step-children, Terri Hooker, Amy Hurst (Ray) Baynard, and Charles A. “Andy” (Amber) Hurst; grandchildren: Tyler (Emily) Hooker, Christopher Pritchett, Graham Pritchett, Erin Pyle, Megan Pyle, Tate Logsdon-Hurst, Tucker Hurst, Luke Hurst, Jackson Hurst, Morgan Baynard, Emma Baynard, and Ryan Baynard; great-grandchildren: Ella Hooker, James Hendron, and Silas Hooker; step-grandchildren, Hunter, Tyler, and Chloe; brother Jimmy Pyle; and very special friends, Larry Smith, David Lacy, Barry Welch, and Donny Hatter.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Milward-Southland: The visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral at 1:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
